What is reflexology and how does it work?

Reflexology is a non-invasive holistic complimentary treatment that works with your body to encourage self-healing and balance. This gentle complementary therapy is worked on the feet, hands or face and holistically treats the whole person.

It is said that the hands, feet and face contain a map of the nerve endings of the whole body. By applying techniques with the hands to gently stimulate the corresponding areas (Reflexes), Reflexology encourages the body's response to relax, clear and heal, so it can return to functioning as nature intended. The treatment covers most problems and can aid in recovery or reduce the effects of long-term conditions making it easier to cope in everyday life.

Please note: Reflexology is not a 'quick fix'. Although you will feel the benefits after the first session, regular sessions are required to keep the effect going. For an acute problem, weekly sessions may be required, but as the body becomes more regulated these sessions can be spread out. Once settled, monthly maintenance sessions are advised.

What does a session involve?

After an initial consultation, we'll work together to design and adjust your ongoing care plan, ensuring it meets your needs and goals. A medical history check is required before any treatment plan, and all information shared is completely confidential. You're welcome to try any of my treatments without obligation before committing to a plan.
